”Dimitrie Suceveanu” Psaltic Group was established in November 2020, upon the initiative and with the blessing of His Eminence Calinic, Archbishop of Suceava and Rădăuți.

The conductor of the group is Rev. Archdeacon Ilie Leonte, and its coordinator is Rev. Archdeacon Nifon Baciu.
”Dimitrie Suceveanu” Psaltic Group is made up of preasts, deacons – graduates of Faculties of Orthodox Theology, as well as of musical higher education institutions – and from students of Theology who, out of love and passion for Byzantine chant, give glory to God through psaltic chant, multiplying, at the same time, the talant received.
With God’s help, since its establishment, ”Dimitrie Suceveanu” Psaltic Group has managed to record, through work and abnegation, a CD that contains Christmas carols and chants from the service of the Feast of the Nativity of Our Saviour Jesus Christ, two memory sticks that contain chants from the service of Saint Great Martyr John the New from Suceava, the Acathyst hymn and Paraclisis of the Sfaint. They have participated in various concerts and competitions locally and nationally.
”Dimitrie Suceveanu” Psaltic Group can be listened to daily during the liturgical services done in ”Saint John the New” Monastery, broadcast live on the Youtube channel of the Archdiocese of Suceava and Rădăuți.
