Dr. Bogdan Iliescu MD

Dr. Bogdan Iliescu MD, PhD, is an assistant lecturer at the "Gr. T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi and a primary neurosurgeon whose main practice is in "Prof. Oblu" Emergency Clinical Hospital in Iasi. He has developed an interest in functional neurosurgery, minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques and image-guided brain and spine surgery. Dr. Iliescu is passionate about teaching; he lectures, gives practical demonstrations and conducts numerous neurosurgery workshops nationally and internationally. He has developed a strong interest and expertise in basic and clinical neuroscience during his appointments as a postdoctoral fellow at the Health Science Center of the University of Texas at Houston and in Rice University, Houston. Dr. Iliescu has authored numerous chapters in national and international treatises, more than 5 chapters and 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and has contributed more than 50 presentations in peer-reviewed conferences.
