“Basileus” Choir of “Saint Basil the Great” Orthodox Theological Seminary from Iaşi

"Basileus" choir is the most important artistic group of the Seminary and one of the most representative choral and Byzantine music ensembles in Iasi. It was founded at the same time as the Seminary, in 1995. Its first tutor and mentor was Fr. Florin Bucescu, who traced the directions followed by the choir to this day, and strongly anchored the group in the tradition of Romanian church music, a tradition also valued in the Veniamin Seminary, until 1948.
